ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital in Greenville, NC seeks a strategic Chief Nursing Officer to lead nursing services, partner with the CEO, and elevate clinical quality across the hospital. Qualifications

• Active RN license (TN or reciprocity).
• Proven Nursing Leadership (CNO, DON, or equivalent).
• Behavioral Health inpatient psychiatric experience required.
• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• 6+ years RN experience (10+ preferred).
• 3+ years progressive nursing management.
• 2+ years behavioral health RN in inpatient psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Drive nursing strategy, clinical quality, and operational excellence.
• Build, coach, and mentor nursing leaders and frontline teams.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state, and regulatory standards.
• Lead workforce planning, staffing, scheduling, and resource management.
• Partner with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care.
• Monitor quality indicators and lead performance improvement efforts.
• Support employee engagement, retention, and leadership development.
• Influence organizational strategy and long-term planning.
• Foster accountability, compassion, safety, and patient-centered care.
