Job summary

Clovernook Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio seeks a seasoned General Manager to lead a member-owned private club. The role requires steering all departments with a focus on service, fiscal discipline, and strategic growth while maintaining high standards for golf, dining, aquatics, and social programs.

The GM will hire and mentor department heads, manage budgets, and collaborate with the Board to execute the club's strategic plan, capital projects, and audit processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive private club leadership with at least 3 years as GM or Assistant GM.
• Proven track record of strong financial results, member satisfaction and retention.
• Hands-on knowledge of F&B, golf, course maintenance, aquatics and racquet sports.
• Experience planning and managing capital projects.
• Collaborative servant-leadership style; excellent speaker, writer and listener.

Responsibilities

• Lead a member-first culture across all departments with accountability.
• Hire, develop, evaluate and retain department heads; build a unified management team.
• Oversee HR policies, compensation, training and succession planning.
• Track member usage, satisfaction and demographics; adjust programs accordingly.
• Lead strategic and capital planning with the Board; update the club's plan.
• Prepare annual operating and capital budgets with Business Manager and Finance Committee.
• Maintain internal controls, cash management and purchasing practices; coordinate audits.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue while upholding standards.
