Job summary

The Lakes at Litchfield is seeking an Executive Chef to lead and elevate our dining program in a senior living community. You will develop culinary standards and wellness-driven menus, mentor culinary talent, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Collaborate with the Director of Dining Services to deliver resident-centered dining experiences and innovative culinary experiences across all venues. This is a senior leadership role within a Great Place to Work environment focused on People

Qualifications

• 2-year culinary degree preferred.
• Possess and maintain Safe Serve certification.
• Strong leadership and team mentoring abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and personally contribute to the preparation and cooking of meals for all dining venues in the community.
• Monitor food production to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Partner with the Director of Dining Services to create menus and plan for special events.
• Monitor inventory and prepare food and supply orders to ensure efficient operations and minimize waste.
• Lead daily hospitality huddles with the FOH & BOH team.
• Provide training, coaching, guidance, and direction to all kitchen staff.
• Create and manage schedules to ensure sufficient staffing and adherence to labor budget.
• Oversee food preparation, storage and handling, ensuring HACCP compliance.
• Follow safety protocols and model a culture of safety.
• Maintain temperature charts and records.
• Ensure open communication between front and back of house operations and sister departments.
• Attend in-service training and education programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
