Job summary

Oak Wood Senior Living is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary team and ensure exceptional dining for residents at our community. You will manage meal preparation, portion control, waste reduction, and day-to-day kitchen operations.

The role emphasizes delivering high dining standards while meeting budget, safety, and sanitation goals, with a focus on leadership and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent, required.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a chef in a large-scale cooking operation preferred.
• Prior dietary experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a kitchen managerial position highly preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all food items are prepared to culinary standards.
• Provide residents with an exceptional dining experience while controlling portions and minimizing waste.
• Lead the culinary team in day-to-day operation and improve satisfaction for residents, employees, and clients.
• Help meet budgets, food and labor costs, food safety, and sanitation standards.
