Job summary

Transforming Age Parkwood in Sioux Falls is seeking an Executive Chef/Director of Culinary Services to lead evening meals Monday through Friday and assist with continental breakfasts. You will develop an upscale culinary program, manage staffing, and ensure budget adherence to deliver an exceptional resident dining experience.

The role requires a culinary degree (preferred) and at least five years as an executive chef or senior chef in relevant settings, with strong leadership and menu planning

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as executive chef or head chef in hotel, restaurant, club, or similar.
• Senior living experience is a plus.
• Ability to plan menus and production within budgets.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and executes evening meal service Monday through Friday for residents.
• Assists with prep and planning for daily continental breakfast offerings Monday through Friday.
• Develops and implements a comprehensive Culinary Services program to create a positive resident experience.
• Develops and maintains staffing plans and retention strategies.
• Provides leadership, training and development for staff.
• Plans menus and menu cycles that are relevant, fresh, and well-balanced for residents.
• Meets or exceeds budgetary and financial guidelines.
• Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and operational standards.
• Ensures qualified, trained, and properly uniformed staff.
• Maintains food quality, appearance, and presentation at all times.
• Evaluates food service with residents and makes revisions to improve operations.
