Job summary

CareOne in Bergen County, NJ is seeking an Executive Chef for a full-time role in our Culinary Services department. The position oversees planning, development, and supervision of kitchen operations to deliver high-quality meals and patient-centered service.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Activities, Nursing and Social Services, recruiting and scheduling staff, and ensuring compliance with state requirements (e.g., ServSafe).

Qualifications

• High-school diploma and ServSafe certification required.
• 2 years managerial experience in kitchen operations preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and directing the Culinary Services department.
• Coordinate Culinary Services with Activities, Nursing, and Social Services.
• Assist in recruitment, interviewing, and scheduling of Culinary Services staff.
• Determine staffing requirements and assign personnel for each shift.
• Schedule department work hours and vacations to expedite work.
• Additional duties as required.
