Chartwells Higher Ed in Lewiston, ID is seeking a passionate Chef to lead a dynamic culinary operation, delivering high-quality, guest-focused experiences while developing a high-performing team.

You will oversee kitchen operations, plan menus under corporate programs, train staff in food safety and sanitation, and manage inventory and cost controls in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience required.
• Three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Knowledge of food/catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, cost controls and presentation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and internet.
• Extensive catering experience is a plus; high-volume operations desirable.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to guidelines.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safety, and equipment operation.
• Establishes cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Maintains inventory within guidelines to ensure timely product availability.
• Complies with health and sanitation regulations and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
