Job summary

Montage International seeks an Executive Chef for Pendry Natirar in Peapack-Gladstone, NJ to lead the culinary program with top‑tier dining, menu development, and guest service.

You will supervise the kitchen team, manage food and labor costs, ensure sanitation and recipe accuracy, and maintain consistent plate presentation.

The role requires strong leadership, budget discipline, and calm under pressure, collaborating with F&B leadership to deliver exceptional experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience as an Executive Sous Chef in a comparable hotel environment.
• Expertise in food product, presentation, quality and preparation along with menu concept and menu design.
• Experience with creating schedules, labor costing, payroll administration.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to manage a large staff and control costs.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for all hotel kitchen operations, including supervision and scheduling of line staff.
• Oversee menu execution, product quality, storage, inventory, and sanitation procedures.
• Develop menu items, recipes, and menu matrices while managing food and labor costs.
• Lead in menu changes based on marketplace needs and guest feedback.
• Provide support to F&B leadership and represent the kitchen in meetings.
