Job summary

Nbutexas in Summit, NJ is seeking an Executive Chef to lead a high-volume upscale steakhouse. You will drive execution, develop teams, and uphold quality and service standards in a structured, performance-driven environment.

This hands-on role requires strong leadership, cost and labor control, and the ability to manage kitchen systems, menus, and vendor relationships while partnering with ownership on performance goals.

Qualifications

• Proven Executive Chef experience in upscale or high-volume settings.
• Hands-on leader with strong team development skills.
• Ability to manage food and labor costs and kitchen systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead all kitchen operations including service, prep, and production.
• Maintain quality, plating, and standards across stations.
• Hire, train, and develop BOH staff at all levels.
• Drive accountability, performance, and culture in the kitchen.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships.
• Oversee food and labor cost, and kitchen financials.
• Ensure sanitation and food safety compliance.
• Lead scheduling and staffing strategies.
• Execute menus and maintain recipes and systems.
• Partner with ownership on operations and goals.
