Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking an Executive Chef to lead culinary operations for our senior living facilities. You will oversee menu development, pricing, labor, and food quality while maintaining high customer service standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or related culinary degree, at least four years in culinary management, strong leadership, and proficiency with Microsoft Office to manage menus, budgets and schedules. Occasional catering and training duties apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related culinary degree.
• Certified Executive Chef preferred.
• Minimum four years of industry and culinary management experience.
• Must demonstrates proven leadership abilities, commitment to customer service, and strong organization and time management skills.
• Must have previous experience and proficient with menu development and pricing.
• Must have experience in all Microsoft Office applications required.
• Culinary labor, food and small ware financial management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve 100% resident satisfaction through plate presentation and taste; circulate dining rooms for feedback.
• Establish presentation techniques and ensure quality standards.
• Hire, coach, train, inspire and direct culinary staff; maintain scheduling and reviews.
• Develop Sous Chef and Lead Cook for leadership duties.
• Directly responsible for food control, labor costs, menu engineering, recipes and standardization.
• Ensure proper equipment operation, safety and sanitation policies.
• Oversee catering events and demonstrate culinary techniques.
• Maintain a positive team environment; promote public relations with residents and guests.
• Function as Manager on Duty as scheduled with site leadership.
