Job summary

Morrison Living is seeking an Executive Chef for a Community Care Retirement/Care Center in Orland Park, IL. Lead daily kitchen operations, recruit and train staff, and deliver show-quality food while managing budgets and safety standards.

You will develop menus with local ingredients, monitor costs, and strive for resident satisfaction. A.S. degree or equivalent and at least 5 years of kitchen management are preferred; ServSafe is a plus.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Extensive catering experience is a plus.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
• Hands-on chef experience is a must.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily culinary production and ensure safety standards.
• Recruit, train, and empower onsite staff.
• Develop menus using local ingredients and seasonal specials.
• Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and cost controls.
• Ensure compliance with health and sanitation protocols.
• Deliver show-quality food and exceptional resident service.
