Job summary

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, seeks an Executive Chef to lead The Commoner, Banquets and catering. You will supervise chefs and cooks, drive menu development, food costs and production standards to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Collaborate with Marketing, ensure safety and health compliance, mentor the team, and sustain high F&B satisfaction. The role requires 50+ hours weekly, strong leadership and English proficiency, with opportunities across

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
• 2- or 4-year degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management preferred but not required.
• Minimum two years prior experience as an Executive Chef.
• Knowledge of product, presentation, quality, preparation, menu development, recipe creation, food costing and people management.
• Must obtain ServSafe, CPR and/or First Aid certification.
• Strong math and computer skills for inventory control and budgets.
• Able to work with Marketing and PR for campaigns and events.
• Able to forecast, analyze data and manage payroll and production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the culinary operation of The Commoner, Banquets and Catering events.
• Interview, hire, train, supervise, schedule and manage chefs and kitchen staff.
• Develop new menus and menu items based on trends and budgets.
• Monitor quality, safety and cleanliness across kitchen facilities.
• Collaborate with Marketing on programming and activations.
• Maintain vendor relationships and control labor and food costs.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal rules.
