Job summary

Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace in Livonia, MI, seeks an Executive Chef to lead the deli division, drive sales, ensure quality, and manage staff and operations. You will work with the General Manager and Director of Operations to plan production, sourcing, and performance against business goals.

Qualified candidates will have culinary credentials, certified food service credentials, and proven management experience, with a strong focus on food safety, training, and customer service

Qualifications

• Must have management experience in a food service environment.
• Event/catering program coordination experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of deli products and food safety standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all department activities to meet sales and profitability goals.
• Oversee training, scheduling, and policy adherence for department staff.
• Assist Catering Concierge Manager with Party Planning & Catering programs.
• Develop plans to maximize sales, profits, and overall results.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations.
• Hire, train, and develop deli associates and ensure quality standards.
• Coordinate product flow, inventory, and distribution within the department.
• Maintain clean, organized, and customer-friendly department presentation.
• Provide feedback to leadership and ensure safety and sanitation programs are followed.
