A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Food Services Manager to oversee food and supply management, coordinate food production, and develop menus for various operations. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary and management skills, along with required certifications.
Manages and oversees the handling of all food and supplies. Manages food-purchasing and equipment maintenance. Directs all employees involved in receiving and storage of food and non-food supplies. Works with all suppliers to ensure that product specifications and contract pricing are met and maximized. Collaborates with the TUHS system standard team to develop product specifications for the TUHS health system. Coordinates all food production, directing employees involved in preparing food for patient, retail, and catering operations. Develops menus and recipes, and prepares production schedules. Suggests service and presentation models. Participates in policy decisions and overall management of the Nutrition Services Department. Philadelphia Food Safety Certification is required within 60 days of hire with a valid receipt of payment in the interim.
Education
Associates Degree in Culinary Arts (Required). A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience
At least 5 years of experience in the hospitality field, including sauté cuisine style experience, with demonstrated strong culinary and management skills. (Required)
License/Certifications
SERVSAFE - ServSafe Certification (Required)
PFSC - Philadelphia Food Safety Certification (Required)
