Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining, a member of Compass Group USA, seeks an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations in our school dining environment. You will direct meal preparation, ensure safety and sanitation, and drive quality across menus and staff.

This is an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary leadership role within a mission-driven dining program. The ideal candidate brings hands-on chef experience, strong menu planning, and expertise in food cost controls.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience required; hands-on culinary leadership.
• Minimum three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Extensive catering and high-volume foodservice operations experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food cost controls, sanitation, and presentation.
• ServSafe certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations and maintain safe, sanitary work environment.
• Plan menus according to guidelines and standard recipes.
• Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safety, and equipment use.
• Maintain cleaning, maintenance, and inventory schedules.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
