Flik Independent School Dining seeks an Executive Chef to lead all culinary operations at a private or independent K-12 school. This hands-on leadership role focuses on food quality, safety, innovation, and service excellence while guiding a team of culinary associates.

You will manage kitchen operations, partner with the school community, and ensure dining experiences meet high standards of nutrition, taste, and presentation.

Qualifikationen

• Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
• 3-5 years of dynamic culinary management experience in high-volume foodservice or catering.
• Ability to lead food and labor costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in scratch cooking, menu innovation, and staff development.
• Proficiency with kitchen operations software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Lead all culinary functions including menu planning, food preparation, recipe development, and service execution.
• Lead food and labor costs; maintain budget compliance and implement cost control strategies.
• Purchase food and kitchen supplies; run vendor relationships and maintain inventory.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and allergy protocols; uphold HACCP standards.
• Recruit, train, and mentor culinary team members, promoting safety and excellence.
• Collaborate with marketing and culinary teams to launch seasonal menus and promotions.
• Support events and catering with high-quality food and precise execution.
• Supervise back-of-house operations to ensure cleanliness and regulatory compliance.
• Work with Director of Dining on performance management and yearly reviews.
