Flik Independent School Dining, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, ensure safety and sanitation, and direct meal preparation in alignment with corporate programs. This energetic culinary leader will drive quality and cost-control while mentoring staff in a fast-paced school dining environment.

Competenze

• Minimum three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable
• Hands-on chef experience is a must
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
• Must be experienced with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, E-mail and Internet
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable

• Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines
• Follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards; uses daily production worksheets and waste logs
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safety and sanitation per company and regulatory standards
• Maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas
• Maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies within guidelines
• Decides utilization of leftover food within company guidelines
• Complies with health, sanitation regulations and audits
• Follows safety policies and participates in departmental meetings and programs
