Job summary

Unidine Healthcare is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations in a Long Term Care facility, ensuring safe, sanitary, and high-quality meal preparation in line with corporate programs. The role requires candidates to earn CDM/CFPP credentials within a specified timeframe.

Located in Gillette, Wyoming, this position offers a dynamic culinary leadership opportunity, with responsibility for menu planning, staff training, and compliance with health regulations, while driving food

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Extensive catering experience is a plus.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience desired.
• Hands-on chef experience required.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
• Follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards; uses production worksheets and waste log sheets; tastes meals for quality.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, equipment operation, food safety and sanitation per company and regulatory standards.
• Establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas; ensures schedules are followed.
• Maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies within guidelines; ensures availability of necessary products.
• Makes decisions on utilization of leftover food within company guidelines.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations; adheres to sanitation procedures.
• Follows safety policies and participates in departmental meetings and professional development.
