Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a culinary leadership position in skilled nursing facility (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to have difficult conversations with compassion.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain a calm demeanor in chaotic situations.
• Needs discretion and ability to pass pre-employment background checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage the Dietary department to deliver an extraordinary culinary experience within dietary needs.
• Hire, train, schedule, and manage dietary staff.
• Manage inventory, purchasing of food, supplies and uniforms for the kitchen.
• Plan and prepare daily menus and customized meal plans for patients.
• Interact with patients, families, dietitian and staff daily.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
• Work in the kitchen as needed and address complaints promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations.
