Job summary

Singer Drivers Club in the Mojave Desert, California, seeks an experienced Executive Chef to own the culinary program end to end. You will design menus, source regionally, and lead the brigade to deliver exceptional dining for private lunches, events, and catering, while building systems and vendor relationships in a remote desert kitchen.

You will oversee a multi-tier team, balance member dining with events, and ensure top-tier food quality, safety, and guest experience in a luxury private club

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Executive Chef or equivalent in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or a private club.
• Proven track record opening a kitchen or building a culinary program from scratch.
• Demonstrated P&L accountability — margins, projections, and operating-expense control.
• Experience with scheduling, labor costing, payroll administration, and performance management.
• Proficiency with accounting/inventory software and budgetary analysis.
• Experience sourcing from and negotiating with local and specialty vendors.
• Formal culinary training or equivalent professional experience.
• Food-safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Design menus, source locally, hire and train the brigade, and deliver food that matches private club standards.
• Write menus and recipes, set plating specs, and establish kitchen systems from prep to line checks.
• Lead the culinary team — Executive Sous Chef, sous chefs, and line cooks; coach and develop staff.
• Build relationships with members, learn preferences and dietary needs, and make the dining experience personalized.
• Oversee the full culinary program across outlets, events, and catering around the calendar.
