Role Overview

Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for an Executive Chef 2 to join our team at one of our High-Profile accounts in New York, NY. The current food landscape consists of 1 corporate cafe that serves Breakfast and Lunch only, Pantry Services and Catering Operations. The Executive Chef 2 will be the lead culinary person and drive the culinary strategy. The Executive Chef will be responsible for the overall day-to-day food production.


Incentives

Predominately a M-F schedule with very rare evenings and weekends

What You'll Do

  • menu planning
  • ordering
  • inventory
  • food and labor cost
  • hands on cooking 60% of the time
  • catering production
  • safety and sanitation
  • managing a team of 10 hourly employees (7 cooks and 2 utility workers and 1 pantry attendent)
  • ensuring food quality and presentation

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
