Role Overview

Are You the One? We are seeking a hands-on, creative, and imaginative Culinarian with a keen eye for detail. You will have prior experience managing a diverse high-end operation with proven results.

A high-profile Good Eating Company Corporate Services account located in New York, New York is looking for an Executive Chef 2 to focus on catering for an upscale corporate account. This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative culinarian to provide high-end service in our catering department.

This Executive Chef will work primarily Monday through Friday, 6AM-4PM, with no holidays and few weekends.

We seek candidates with a background in high-end culinary positions, supervisory and corporate services experience, and some computer skills. Union experience is a plus.

What You'll Do
  • Execute high-quality banquet menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative presentation, remaining fully hands-on at all times.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and flavor in all dishes, maintaining high culinary standards.
  • Oversee all aspects of catering food preparation, production, and plating.
  • Ensure timely service and smooth execution of large-scale events and plated dinners.
  • Monitor food costs, portion control, and inventory management to maintain profitability.
  • Maintain a positive, professional work environment with strong communication and teamwork.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations.
  • Adapt menus and food production processes promptly as needed.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and stored according to hygiene and safety protocols.

What You Bring
  • 3+ years of experience as a Catering Banquet Chef, focusing on fine dining in World Class Law Firms.
  • Advanced knowledge of cost control, inventory management, and food procurement.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Proficiency in food safety practices and kitchen sanitation standards. NYC BOH / Serve Safe certification preferred.
  • Union experience is a plus.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience: 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience: 2 years in food or culinary services, including restaurants, catering, institutional services, etc.
