Role Overview

The Good Eating Company is seeking a creative Executive Chef for our client in Palo Alto, California. The Executive Chef will oversee our brand new Indian Cuisine location, bringing fresh ideas while having the ability to own the menu.

This is a hands-on culinary role focused on the growth of our business dining account. Our goal is to become the premier workplace hospitality brand in North America. We are passionate about local products, culture, hospitality, great food, and being best in class. We seek a strong culinary leader with a proven commitment to excellence, teamwork, and collaboration to help us achieve our vision.

What You'll Do
  • Ensure all food looks and tastes great, and is visually appetizing when served
  • Demonstrate strong culinary skills across all areas of professional cookery, including main courses, salads, sauces, pastries, and baking
  • Have a solid knowledge of food and be able to cook using multiple styles of cuisine
  • Recognize and react to contemporary culinary trends
  • Use correct food terminology and cooking methods
  • Continuously seek new recipes, ideas, and initiatives to improve food quality and service
  • Mentor culinary personnel enthusiastically and play a key role in team development

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience: 2 years

Minimum Functional Experience: 1 year in food or culinary services, including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
