Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the long- and short-term planning and daily operations of the kitchen and culinary departments.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop associates and managers; hire, train, coach, conduct performance reviews, and handle disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Oversee procurement, production, and presentation of all food in a safe, sanitary, and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure maintenance and sanitation standards are met or exceeded for the kitchen and related areas.
  • Develop and manage the department's budget, analyzing and controlling labor and food costs to meet financial objectives.
  • Create and implement menus to improve revenue and profit margins while maintaining quality standards.
  • Promote safety programs to minimize liabilities and expenses.
  • Perform additional duties as required to meet business goals.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years in a culinary leadership role
  • Food safety certification preferred
  • Experience in San Francisco/Bay Area highly preferred

  • Exceeds guest expectations
