The Executive Chef is a management position overseeing chef managers as well as hourly culinary staff, responsible for developing and executing culinary solutions to meet customer needs and tastes. Offers a wide variety of culinary solutions to meet customer and client needs and tastes. Oversees and manages culinary operations to meet production, presentation, and service standards. Applies culinary techniques to food preparation and manages the final presentation and service of food.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Ensure culinary production appropriately connects to the Executional Framework.
  2. Maintain proper culinary standards and techniques for food preparation, presentation, and service.
  3. Manage a culinary team, including chef managers and hourly staff, to ensure quality in food presentation.
  4. Train and manage culinary and kitchen employees on best practices.
  5. Coach employees to achieve shared goals.
  6. Reward and recognize staff performance.
  7. Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles.
  8. Keep staff records, including training and performance data.
  9. Develop and maintain effective client and guest relationships.
  10. Interact directly with guests daily.
  11. Communicate regional culinary and ingredient trends.
  12. Deliver food and labor targets.
  13. Focus on margin improvement and understand performance metrics.
  14. Ensure efficient execution of culinary products according to the daily menu.
  15. Maintain food quality and safety standards.
  16. Manage waste, menus, recipes, and ingredients following Operational Excellence fundamentals.
  17. Understand supply chain and procurement processes, ensuring use of authorized suppliers.
  18. Implement the Food Framework effectively.
  19. Accurately estimate food consumption for requisitions and purchases.
  20. Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance.
  21. Comply with food safety, quality assurance, and safety policies.
  22. Follow all applicable policies, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of culinary experience.
  • At least 2 years in a management role preferred.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to multi-task and simplify team agendas.
  • Advanced knowledge of food principles and management of people/problems.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, reading, writing).
