Sodexo is seeking an experienced Executive Chef 2 at LeTourneau University located in Longview, TX.

LeTourneau University (abbreviated LETU) is a private, interdenominational evangelical Christian university in Longview, Texas, with undergraduate degrees focused on engineering, aeronautics, computer science, business, and education. Longview is located about a two-hour drive east of Dallas and about a one-hour drive west from Shreveport, LA.

Most of LeTourneau University's 1,400 traditional students live on campus, and all residential students are provided a meal plan as part of room and board costs. Food service is available in the Corner Café dining hall and the Hive. The dining hall is open during Fall Break and on Thanksgiving weekend but is closed during Christmas vacation, Spring Break, and between semesters.

What You'll Do
  • Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis, and food production forecasting.
  • Ensure Sodexo culinary standards, including recipe compliance and food quality, are implemented.
  • Develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations.
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards are maintained.
  • Maintain working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Management Experience: 2 years.
Minimum Functional Experience: 2 years work experience in food or culinary services, including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
