Aba, the Mediterranean restaurant with a California influence, will open in Nashville’s Wedgewood/Houston neighborhood in Summer 2025. Led by Top Chef Alum Chef Partner CJ Jacobson, this will mark Aba’s fourth location, with others in Austin, TX, Chicago, IL, and Miami, FL.

Aba is coming to Nashville and is hiring an EXECUTIVE CHEF!

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and ensure efficient BOH operations, including purchasing, inventory, and food cost management.
  2. Provide leadership and guidance to teams, fostering our Culture of Caring.
  3. Research, develop, and execute seasonal menus and new items in collaboration with divisional leaders.
  4. Ensure effective BOH training with divisional trainers and chefs.
  5. Conduct quarterly audits of BOH procedures and systems.
  6. Partner with chefs for purchasing and ordering supplies.
  7. Review and maintain recipe books with the GM and management team.
  8. Create and maintain recipe costing in partnership with the GM and chefs.
  9. Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and developing BOH staff.
  10. Promote teamwork and handle guest, vendor, and employee challenges with tact and courtesy.
  11. Work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends, at multiple sites, with possible overnight travel.

Physical Requirements: Move and lift up to 10 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Executive Chef experience in a full-service restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Proficiency in managing BOH systems.

Salary Range: USD $70,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 per year.
