Unleash Your Culinary Genius in the Heart of Nashville

Are you a talented and enterprising chef with a flair for creating culinary masterpieces? Are you ready to take charge of a thriving restaurant located in the bustling city of Nashville, Tennessee? If so, we've got the perfect opportunity for you! Get your creative juices flowing while overseeing operations at the Holiday Inn Nashville Stadium, a renowned dining and catering establishment.

Your Role

We're seeking a dynamic individual to helm our kitchen operations, someone who can rally a team of cooks and staff, spearhead the creation of seasonal and innovative menus, and deliver an unbeatable dining experience for our patrons. You'll also be at the helm of staff management: hiring, promoting, and, when necessary, disciplining associates.

Coordinating with related departments for food purchases, production, service, storerooms, sanitation, and equipment maintenance will also be part of your key responsibilities. Furthermore, you'll be in charge of analyzing and controlling all expenses related to the food department, ensuring we stay profitable while serving up unforgettable meals.

Daily Delights

Your everyday tasks will be as varied and exciting as the Nashville music scene. You'll plan daily menus, featuring a variety of seasonal offerings, and assign preparation of different dishes among your talented team of chefs. You'll also supervise the purchase of food and wine, maintaining an excellent cellar and a roster of reliable quality food merchants.

Ensuring proper storage of supplies, estimating costs, and establishing menu prices will also be part of your repertoire. You'll also have the chance to experiment with new menu offerings, train other chefs, and ensure the highest standards of food presentation and quality.

Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with a culinary degree or a BA/BS degree, and at least 5 years of food and beverage experience. An intimate working knowledge of culinary standards, management execution, and an entrepreneurial spirit is essential. And if you can demonstrate previous successful management of a quality restaurant, even better!

You'll need excellent verbal, comprehension, listening, and problem-solving skills, and a reputation for presenting an interesting, well-prepared menu. You should be able to handle diverse staff, operate efficiently under pressure, and have excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
