Job Details:

Boka Restaurant Group and the Chicago Athletic Association are seeking an Executive Chef to join their team. As the Executive Chef at The Chicago Athletic Association, you will be responsible for ordering, inventory management, employee management and mentoring, quality control of food production, and compliance with health regulations. You will oversee daily BOH operations, maintain financial standards, and uphold professionalism.

Reports to: Chef Partner

Schedule:

  • Five days onsite; schedule varies including nights, weekends, holidays.
  • Cover for other managers as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include:

Hospitality & Management
  • Opening and closing tasks, shift emails, restaurant walk-throughs.
  • Quality control, product rotation, line checks, service management, guest experience enhancement.
  • Kitchen equipment maintenance, staff uniform standards, BOH system adherence.
Leadership & Staff Development
  • Delegating tasks, managing meetings, overseeing hiring, scheduling, and staff development.
  • Fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe work environment.
Compliance & Payroll
  • HR onboarding, documentation, performance management, and legal compliance.
  • Payroll submissions, shift approvals, and personnel changes.
Revenue & Marketing
  • Coordinate with marketing, manage social media, and event activations.
Menu & Financial Management
  • Menu development, costing, vendor relations, and inventory control.
