Responsibilities
  • Oversee, monitor, and ensure effective BOH operations, including purchasing standards, inventory management, and food cost control
  • Provide guidance and leadership to hourly and management teams while fostering our Culture of Caring
  • Research, develop, and execute seasonal menus and new menu items in partnership with divisional leaders
  • Ensure effective BOH training in collaboration with divisional trainers and chefs
  • Conduct quarterly in-restaurant audits of BOH procedures and systems
  • Partner with designated chefs to purchase and order food products and supplies
  • Work with GM and/or managers/chefs to review and maintain recipe books
  • Create and maintain recipe costing in collaboration with GM and chefs
  • Partner with GM and management to interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise, and develop BOH staff
  • Promote teamwork across all teams
  • Handle challenges with tact and good judgment, maintaining patience and courtesy
  • Work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends, possibly at multiple sites with or without overnight travel

Physical requirements: move and lift up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds often, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Executive Chef experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Ability to lead and develop teams
  • Skilled in managing BOH systems
