Texas Woman’s University seeks a dynamic Chair for the Department of Communication Sciences and Oral Health (CSOH) to lead undergraduate and graduate programs across on-campus and distance venues. The Chair will oversee budgets, accreditation, and strategic planning while fostering interprofessional education and community partnerships.

The role requires a doctorate in a related field with tenure and substantial administrative experience, plus a record of scholarly achievement and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in communication disorders, speech-language pathology, deaf education, health sciences (with dental hygiene focus), or related discipline.
• Qualifications for tenure-track Associate or Full Professor.
• At least three years of academic administrative or leadership experience.

Responsabilités

• Guide development and implementation of departmental goals and budgets.
• Mentor faculty and staff; supervise program Directors.
• Promote inter-professional education and external fundraising.
