Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking an Executive Director, Biometrics – CVRM to lead the global biometrics strategy across CVRM. You will shape analyses, design strategies, and regulatory-facing deliverables in a matrix, senior leadership environment.

The role emphasizes strategic direction, clinical development oversight, and driving productivity while adopting AI-enabled tools for data analysis, programming, and submissions. A strong external scientific network is valued.

Qualifications

MSc in Biostatistics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or another quantitative discipline.
Extensive pharma/biotech industry experience with end-to-end drug development lifecycle knowledge.
Strong leadership of statistics and programming in a global matrix environment.

Responsibilities

Lead global statistics organization within a matrix environment.
Ensure appropriate statistical designs, data sources, analyses, and SOPs support objectives.
Oversee quality and timeliness of biometrics contributions to development planning and submissions.
Communicate value and uncertainty of development/investment decisions to stakeholders.
Drive productivity, quality, and speed; support AI-enabled analytics and generation of evidence.
