Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Rockefeller Catering Chef to lead our headquarters hospitality team, elevating guest experiences through innovative menus and flawless execution of onsite events such as luncheons, cocktail receptions, and exclusive dinners.

You will manage a culinary team of about 10, drive menu development with the Executive Chef, ensure top-tier food quality and sanitation, and sustain high standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment at our New York HQ.

Qualifications

• Manage day and night operations of all catered events, leading a team of approximately 10 employees.
• Lead, train, and mentor the culinary team, fostering professionalism and hospitality.
• Develop and execute training procedures, operational objectives, and menu creation with the Executive Chef.
• Maintain the highest standards of food quality, sanitation, and DOH compliance.
• Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and liaison with facilities management.
• Demonstrate expertise in classic French and contemporary cosmopolitan American cuisine, including high-end dining and Michelin-level experience.
• Accommodate a flexible work schedule, primarily Monday–Friday with limited weekend availability.
• Respond to last-minute executive demands and fill in for preparation duties when required.
• Exhibit exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with a background in high-volume production.
• Perform essential job functions safely, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods, and moving throughout the property.

• Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu creation and staffing decisions.
• Maintain the highest standards of food quality and sanitation.
• Oversee maintenance of kitchen equipment and coordinate with facilities management.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations in all prep and service.
• Fill in for preparation duties and service when Sous Chefs are absent.
• Respond to executive demands and support last-minute requests as needed.
• Assist with food ordering, vendor relations, and menu item tasting panels.
• Contribute to quality control of products received.
