Job summary

Vance Granville Community College seeks an Associate Vice President (AVP) of Finance and Operations to provide executive leadership across college-wide finance, business operations, and auxiliary services. The role includes coordinating major initiatives and acting as VP in their absence, with in-office requirements and no telework option.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or CPA or equivalent credential required.
• Minimum eight years of progressive accounting/financial administration experience.
• NCCM certification required within nine months of hire.
• Experience in governmental accounting, budgeting, reporting, internal controls, compliance, and audits.
• Demonstrated leadership and managerial experience supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership over finance, operations, and auxiliary services.
• Oversee audits, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Oversee procurement, contracting, and vendor management.
• Manage risk, insurance, safety, and continuity of operations.
• Supervise professional and administrative staff and coordinate with the VP.
