Vizient, Inc. seeks an AVP, Category Management to provide executive leadership for a client-facing category management team and to set the strategic vision, operating model, and priorities for multiple portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or related business leadership.
• 7+ years of progressive people leadership experience with multi-level structures.
• Executive-level experience influencing senior executives across complex organizations.
• Extensive experience leading strategic sourcing, contracting and category management initiatives.
• Advanced AI fluency with governance and responsible adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi-level organization of category management professionals.
• Set strategic vision, operating model and priorities for multiple portfolios.
• Drive transformation initiatives to improve scalability, efficiency and client value.
• Partner with executive leaders to align strategy and governance across the center.
• Represent Vizient in client meetings, industry forums, and advisory councils.
