Job summary

Vizient, Inc. seeks an AVP, Category Management to provide executive leadership for a client-facing team and set strategic priorities for multiple category portfolios.

The role leads a talent pipeline of category management executives and senior leaders, driving organizational transformation and value creation across sourcing, contracting, analytics, and supplier engagement. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or related business leadership.
• 7+ years of progressive people leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success leading organizations of 30+ employees.
• Excellent executive communication and relationship management skills.
• Travel 15–20% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi-level organization of people leaders and category management talent.
• Establish strategic vision and long-term direction for Category Management across portfolios.
• Provide executive oversight of complex sourcing, contracting, and supplier initiatives.
• Drive transformation initiatives to improve scalability, efficiency, and client value.
• Serve as trusted advisor to senior leadership and build executive relationships.
