Job summary

Florida Atlantic University seeks an Associate Director for New Student Transitions & Family Engagement in Boca Raton, FL. The role provides strategic leadership for onboarding, orientation, and engagement initiatives to support new students and families.

Responsibilities include managing logistics, coordinating campus partners, and leading training for Orientation Leaders and the SOAR program, with a focus on effective communication and on-site and virtual experiences.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization required or a bachelor's degree with sufficient experience (four to six years) in related fields.
• Evidence of leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to Director, New Student Transitions & Family Engagement.
• Utilize Campus ESP reservation platform to create events and manage orientation sessions.
• Lead on virtual orientations in Canvas.
• Implement a comprehensive communication plan for internal and external customers.
• Lead Phase I & II for First-Year and Transfer SOAR programs.
• Oversee orientation logistics including room reservations, equipment, materials, signage, and day-of schedules.
• Supervise orientation leaders and interns; coordinate trainings and sponsorships.
• Collaborate with campus partners across Registrar, Housing, SOAR, Immunizations, and Financial Aid for onboarding steps.
