Job summary

Rhode Island College seeks an Assistant to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation to support student-athlete programming and campus recreation services. You will coordinate support services, travel, facilities and events, while helping with fundraising, community outreach and fan engagement.

Working closely with the Director, this role helps ensure student-athlete success, maintaining safe operations and building school spirit through marketing, attendance, and program

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
• Ability to work with a diversified population.
• Strong knowledge and ability with computers and web-based programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision and programming of student-athlete support services with emphasis on success and retention.
• Help manage Recreation Center operations, including membership data and fiscal controls.
• Support department fundraising and community outreach activities.
• Coordinate travel, events, and contest management for intercollegiate athletics.
• Provide oversight for school and clinic programs targeted at community outreach.
