Job summary

The University of Rhode Island invites applications for the Coordinator, Campus Recreation/Facilities & Operations in Kingston. The role leads the front-line staff and oversees the Mackal/Keaney/Tootell Complex, Anna Fascitelli Fitness Center, and related facilities.

Under the Assistant Director, Facilities and Operations, you will recruit, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate staff, coordinate events, manage safety, and foster student engagement and holistic wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Recruit, select, train, supervise, mentor, schedule, administer payroll, and evaluate a diverse facility operations student staff.
• Lead staff development, engagement, and success pathways through leadership opportunities and training.
• Coordinate facility rentals, events, and safety protocols in Campus Recreation complexes.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, supervise and schedule staff including student workers and casual employees.
• Coordinate events, pre-planning, contracts, supervision, and safety for Campus Recreation programs.
• Oversee custodial and maintenance programs, and manage external vendors and contractors.
