Job summary

Rhode Island College seeks an Athletic Facility and Events Management and Operations Assistant to support the daily operations of athletic and recreation facilities. The role coordinates event setup, staffing, ticketing, and teardown, and collaborates with campus partners to keep venues safe and well-maintained.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Athletic and Recreation Facilities, you will schedule fields, conduct safety inspections, manage work orders, and assist with fundraising

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
• Minimum of three years of progressive experience in the management and maintenance of athletic/recreational facilities at the intercollegiate level.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist in management of playing fields and facilities to accommodate intercollegiate, institutional and community activities.
• Support all intercollegiate contest management functions (set-up, tear down, ticket sales).
• Coordinate work orders with Physical Plant and outside vendors to ensure timely completion.
• Implement a plan to insure maintenance and safety of all facilities (ongoing inspections).
• Maintenance and upkeep of facility equipment (scoreboards, posts, bleachers, etc.).
• Communicate facility rules, hours of operation clearly.
• Oversee care of tennis, baseball, softball, soccer and outdoor track facilities.
• Oversight of facilities for intercollegiate, recreation and community events.
