BURKE + CO. is seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to support the CEO at a rapidly growing technology company in San Francisco.

This high-visibility role requires a proactive, calm and highly organized partner who can anticipate needs and manage competing priorities as the company scales. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of executive support experience, ideally supporting a CEO or senior executive in a fast-paced tech environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-growth technology company, startup, or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented with the confidence to make decisions independently.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Act as trusted partner and primary support to the CEO, maximizing time and effectiveness.
  • Own and proactively manage a complex calendar, travel, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate extensive domestic and international travel with itineraries.
  • Prepare the CEO for meetings with context and materials.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and maintain discretion.
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, offsites, and company events with cross-functional teams.
  • Track follow-ups and ensure timely completion of action items.
  • Collaborate with the CEO's Chief of Staff and leadership for aligned priorities.
  • Identify process improvements to streamline workflows and scheduling.
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance organization and executive workflows.

Our client, a rapidly growing technology company, is seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to support their CEO. This is a highly visible opportunity to serve as a trusted partner to a brilliant, high-energy CEO and play a critical role in helping their executive operate effectively as the company scales at an extraordinary pace. The ideal candidate is an expert Executive Assistant who has supported a CEO, Founder, or other senior executive in a high-growth, fast-paced technology environment. They are looking for someone who is exceptionally organized, proactive, and calm under pressure, with the judgment to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and keep things moving when plans inevitably change.

THE NITTY GRITTY:
  • Act as a trusted partner and primary point of support to the CEO, helping maximizing time, focus, and effectiveness.
  • Own and proactively manage an extremely complex calendar, balancing internal priorities, external relationships, travel, and last-minute changes.
  • Coordinate extensive domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries, logistics, and schedule adjustments.
  • Prepare the CEO for meetings by anticipating needs, gathering relevant information, and ensuring he has the appropriate context and materials.
  • Act as a thoughtful liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Manage highly confidential and sensitive information with exceptional discretion and judgment.
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, offsites, and company events, partnering cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution.
  • Track follow-ups, commitments, and action items to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Partner closely with the CEO's Chief of Staff and broader leadership team to keep priorities aligned and information flowing.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization and leverage those relationships to get things done quickly and effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve workflows, and make executive support more efficient.
  • Utilize modern technology and AI tools to improve organization, scheduling, research, meeting preparation, and other executive workflows.
  • Jump into special projects and high-priority requests as needed in a rapidly evolving environment.
THE ESSENTIALS:
  • 5+ years of executive support experience, ideally supporting a CEO, Founder, or senior executive.
  • Experience in a high-growth technology company, startup, or similarly fast-paced environment required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a constantly changing environment.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to understand an executive's priorities and anticipate needs before being asked.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a polished executive presence.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex calendars, travel, meetings, and executive logistics.
  • High level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with the confidence to make decisions independently.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Comfortable operating with urgency and handling last-minute changes without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • Tech-savvy and genuinely curious about new tools, including AI
  • Experience using AI to improve workflows, research, scheduling, meeting preparation, or other processes is a plus!
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, project management tools, and other productivity platforms
  • Adaptable and energized by ambiguity, change, and rapid growth.
