You will support the Speaker and Chief of Staff, coordinate logistics for meetings, and ensure confidentiality across communications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Prior experience in administrative work.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and GSuite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and the ability to adapt.
• Knowledge of state databases (e.g., Lobbyist Search) and ILGA.gov, with General Assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations of the Chicago Office and align with Springfield Office.
• Serve as point of contact for the Speaker, visitors, and staff, including room setup and logistics.
• Supervise the Office Assistant and manage front desk coverage.
• Maintain confidential communications with legislators, constituents, and agencies.
• Track legislation and manage office lists and reimbursements.
• Oversee hearing room A/V setup and office inventory; manage travel vouchers.
