Description
Incumbents in this position serve as an assistant for the Executive Director of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC).
The Council and its Committees comprise elected and appointed officials along with senior level stakeholders from criminal and juvenile justice agencies, government administration and key cross-sector organizations like public health, human services, transportation, housing.
The purpose of the Council is to ensure the fair administration of criminal and juvenile justice by increasing effective communication, collaboration and planning; and, to improve the criminal and juvenile systems' operation through effective data collection, sharing and analysis crosscutting the local criminal and public health systems.
A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Law, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field; plus three years of professional experience providing administrative and/or programmatic support to senior management or executive leadership. OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
At least one year of instructional experience or classroom teaching; at least one year of professional experience in law enforcement, legal services, or a violence prevention / human services organization.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present it upon request.
