RWE Americas, LLC in Austin, TX, is hiring an Executive Assistant to support the Senior Vice President of Human Resources. This is a full-time, permanent role with a dynamic, confidential environment.

You will manage the SVP’s calendar, travel, and meetings, prepare materials, handle correspondence, coordinate with internal and external partners, and safeguard sensitive information while acting as a trusted advisor.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Executive Assistant (EA) provides high‑level administrative, operational, and strategic support to a Senior Vice President (SVP) of Human Resources. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to anticipate needs. The ideal candidate is a trusted partner and advisor who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, able to work without guidance, and is comfortable representing the SVP in day‑to‑day communications.

Role Responsibilities
  • Manage executive calendar, meeting, event, and follow‑up activities for the SVP, including scheduling, prioritizing requests, coordinating across stakeholders and time zones, preparing materials, capturing minutes or action logs as needed, and ensuring commitments are completed on time
  • Provide high‑level administrative support including document assimilation, preparation, and quality assurance
  • Act as liaison between SVP and internal and external contacts
  • Serve as a trusted partner and advisor to the SVP, proactively managing priorities and anticipating needs
  • Act as point of contact for administration issues and escalating as appropriate
  • Liaise and provide support to other RWE Assistants, providing coverage for other Executive Assistants when needed
  • Plan and book all SVP business travel including preparation of all necessary forms and documents
  • Prepare and submit travel and business expense reports accurately and on time
  • Monitor and help manage the SVP’s inbox with discretion, identifying priorities, drafting or sending routine responses as authorized, flagging urgent matters, and escalating sensitive or high‑impact issues appropriately
  • Support HR leadership routines and confidential people‑related processes by preparing materials, coordinating follow‑ups, maintaining discretion with sensitive employee, compensation, organizational, and employee relations information, and escalating sensitive matters appropriately
Job Requirements and Experiences
  • Minimum 7 years of high level executive support
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain discretion, and handle highly confidential information appropriately
  • Preferred: demonstrated executive presence and sound judgment when interacting with senior leaders, employees, external partners, and confidential stakeholders
  • Proven demonstration of analytical and problem solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology programs
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail and follow‑through
Work Environment

This position is an office‑based role with some travel and visits to other RWE America office and field locations. The employee must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time.
