Description: The Calderwood School of Arts and Letters is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and highly professional Executive Assistant to serve as the principal administrative liaison and coordinator for the Dean's Office. This is a full-time, twelve-month administrative position. The position provides comprehensive administrative and executive support to the Dean while exercising sound judgment, discretion, and strict confidentiality. The Executive Assistant manages the Dean’s calendar and annual cycle of school activities, coordinates meetings, committees, events, communications, and special projects, and serves as a primary point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and other constituents.
Responsibilities include drafting, editing, and proofreading correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents; maintaining confidential personnel, evaluation, assessment, contract, accreditation, and administrative records; coordinating faculty search visits and onboarding processes; and maintaining accurate candidate and personnel documentation. The position also supports school purchasing, budgets, financial requests, reimbursements, and financial reporting, while overseeing records management, office resources, technology coordination, and administrative workflows.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage multiple priorities, anticipate needs, handle sensitive information appropriately, and work independently while maintaining strong communication and organizational skills.
Requirements: A high school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative, executive support, office management, or related experience, along with strong computer and organizational skills. Experience supporting senior leaders, particularly within higher education or another complex organization, is preferred.
A strong, demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Christian mission and vision of Grove City College is essential. This position is expected to share the College’s Christian commitments outlined in the College’s statement of faith.
