Descripción del empleo

Socha Capital is a fast-growing wealth strategies firm serving founders, entrepreneurs, and ultra-high-net-worth families. Its core values are Respect, Growth, Communication, and Reliability. The firm operates with the pace and intensity of a scaling startup, where priorities move quickly and execution is expected to keep up.

The first priority is calendar mastery. The CEO, Jeff Socha, has a calendar that is complex and tied to client service, sales, leadership, and strategic priorities. The EA will begin by learning the existing rules, preferences, and decision logic, with more decisions escalated early. As trust is built, the role will become increasingly autonomous.

The scope will include full inbox ownership, communication management, meeting support, travel, personal logistics, and broader executive support.

ABOUT THE CEO

Jeff is a fast-moving, outcome-driven leader who values leverage, speed, ownership, and clear thinking. His internal operating framework asks: What outcome are we delivering? What must be true to achieve it? What is the shortest effective path? Is this creating leverage—or just movement?

He is direct, decisive, ambitious, comfortable with risk, and energized by big goals. He expects concise communication, proactive problem-solving, and people who are willing to challenge him rather than simply agree. He values simplicity and works best with people who can move efficiently without overcomplicating the path forward.

The right EA will be emotionally steady, confident enough to manage up, and able to help Jeff protect his energy and stay focused on the highest-value work.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
CALENDAR, SCHEDULING & EXECUTIVE FLOW
  • Become the master scheduler for Jeff’s calendar, balancing client, prospect, internal, strategic, personal, and travel priorities.
  • Review the calendar daily and look ahead, identifying conflicts, missing context, insufficient buffers, and problems before they reach Jeff.
  • Confirm appointments, pursue incomplete scheduling requests, manage reschedules, and ensure meetings include the right links, materials, context, and logistics.
  • Protect focus time, breaks, and energy while helping reduce the number of people who can directly place meetings on Jeff’s calendar.
  • Maintain Jeff’s call list, homework/action items, and time blocks needed to complete them.
  • Provide a clear next-day briefing and ensure all meetings and commitments have a next action.
INBOX, COMMUNICATION & FOLLOW-THROUGH
  • Triage Jeff’s inbox, surfacing urgent items, organizing communication, drafting responses, and identifying decisions needed. Grow into full inbox ownership as trust and context develop.
  • Monitor calls, email, Teams, and other inbound communication, responding or redirecting conversations to the appropriate channel.
  • Act as a communication bridge between Jeff, clients, prospects, leadership, and the team.
  • Close loops consistently: communicate what happened, what happens next, who owns it, and by when.
  • Communicate concisely, professionally, and directly while adapting tone to the audience.
MEETING, SYSTEM & LOCAL SUPPORT
  • Prepare Jeff for select meetings with the right files, notes, context, and follow-up.
  • Provide occasional personal and local support when it protects Jeff’s time, including mail, pickups/drop-offs, and errands, while serving as a local point person for planning and coordinating Austin-based company events and all-hands gatherings.
  • Support occasional travel and gradually take on more travel-planning responsibility.
  • Work confidently across Microsoft 365, Zoom, SharePoint, and OneDrive, while learning Redtail, SCFiles, Calendly, and other systems.
  • Use AI, automation, and technology to reduce repetitive work and improve executive workflows.
WHO WILL SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
  • A strong D/C blend (DISC Assessment). Jeff is a high-D DISC profile, and the team is highly C-driven; the ideal EA combines D-style assertiveness, pace, and ownership with C-style precision, structure, and attention to detail.
  • High agency and low friction. You figure things out and move work forward without waiting for step-by-step direction.
  • High cognitive horsepower. You learn quickly, process complex information, connect dots, and retain context without needing repeated explanation.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented. You catch small inconsistencies, missing information, and loose ends before they create bigger problems—without sacrificing speed.
  • Exceptionally reliable. You do what you say you will do, and you communicate early when something changes.
  • Direct, assertive, and confident. You can manage up, ask questions, push back respectfully, and handle candid feedback without becoming rattled.
  • Anticipatory. You look ahead, connect moving pieces, and identify issues before they escalated.
  • Technology-forward. You enjoy systems, AI, automation, and better ways of working.
  • Adaptable. You can learn a structured playbook without becoming rigid when priorities shift.
WHO WILL NOT SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
  • Someone who needs constant direction, reminders, or permission to move.
  • Someone who works slowly, misses details, or leaves open loops behind.
  • Someone who avoids difficult conversations or waits too long to communicate that something is off track.
  • Someone who is uncomfortable with a demanding pace or evolving responsibility.
  • Someone seeking a strict 40-hour workweek, a fully remote role, or no local or personal support.
COMPENSATION, REQUIREMENTS & LOGISTICS
  • 5+ years of Executive Assistant experience, including at least two consecutive years supporting a CEO, Founder, President, or comparable senior executive.
  • Financial services, wealth management, or related professional services experience preferred.
  • Expect approximately 40+ hours per week, with occasional after-hours needs.
  • Occasional business travel required.
  • Must be willing to become a Texas notary if requested.
  • $86,000-$96,000 based on experience, including quarterly bonuses.
  • Benefits include company-provided home-office technology, health insurance reimbursement ($400 for individuals, $600 for families), 401(k), unlimited PTO, continuing-education support, travel reimbursement, and employee financial-planning benefits after a 60-day waiting period.
  • Selected candidates may be required to complete background, credit, and/or drug screening as permitted by law.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant who wants to become the operational right hand behind an entrepreneurial CEO—not simply manage a task list.
