Job description

At SpyGlass Pharma, we are focused on improving and preserving the vision of patients suffering from chronic eye conditions, while minimizing the impact on their daily lives. We aim to achieve this by developing cutting‑edge long‑term drug delivery products to address common causes of blindness and getting these products to the patients that need them.

We have built a team of driven professionals with diverse expertise in ophthalmic products and drug delivery. Our accomplished scientists and engineers work alongside a seasoned leadership team with extensive experience in ophthalmology and a history of commercial success. Our unifying mantra, “We create for patients” doesn’t just live on our walls but drives our decision making as we build the company, creating the products, processes and culture that make it happen.

This team has delivered a solid foundation of development and clinical data, enabling over $370 million in funding to date with several top‑tier venture partners. We are building confidence in the performance of our lead product currently enrolling patients in Phase 3 clinical trials.

Summary:

The Executive Assistant at SpyGlass Pharma plays a pivotal role at the center of a fast‑moving, publicly traded biotech company. Reporting to the CEO and supporting the broader executive leadership team, including the COO, CFO, and Chief R&D Officer, this individual serves as a trusted partner responsible for managing complex executive operations, coordinating board and investor activities, and helping ensure the leadership team operates seamlessly across a growing organization. The ideal candidate brings experience supporting C‑suite leaders in biotech, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated environments and is comfortable operating in a public company setting where discretion, judgment, and speed matter. As SpyGlass advances toward key clinical and commercial milestones, this role requires someone who can anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and keep the executive team focused on what matters most.

  • Provide comprehensive executive support to the CEO, including management of complex calendars, strategic prioritization of meetings, and preparation for internal and external engagements.
  • Serve as a liaison between the CEO, Board of Directors, executive leadership team, investors, and external stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Coordinate Board and executive‑level meetings, including scheduling, preparation and distribution of materials, meeting logistics, and documentation of action items.
  • Assist in preparation and editing of high‑level presentations, reports, investor materials, and executive communications.
  • Manage domestic and international travel arrangements, including detailed itineraries, meeting coordination, and expense reporting.
  • Track and manage strategic priorities, ensuring timely follow‑up and execution of commitments made by executive leadership.
  • Support investor relations logistics, earnings preparation coordination, and other public company‑related administrative requirements as needed.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion and integrity.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance executive office efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Clinical, Regulatory, R&D, Finance, HR, and Operations teams to support company‑wide initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to administrative staff as appropriate and contribute to fostering a culture of professionalism and excellence.
Qualifications Required For Position:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 10‑15 years of progressive administrative experience, including significant experience supporting CEOs, Presidents, or C‑level executives.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting executives within a publicly traded company environment, preferably at the VP or C‑suite level.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device industries strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and discernment in handling confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Executive presence with polished communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, proactively solve problems, and operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with Board members, investors, and senior executives.
Why SpyGlass Pharma?
  • We are offering a range of $125,000 – $150,000, based on experience and qualifications, along with an Annual Bonus opportunity.
  • Share in our success with stock options, giving you a stake in the company’s future.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans to keep you and your family healthy and happy, with a variety of plan and coverage options.
  • Generous paid time off, including holidays, vacation days, and personal leave.
