Job summary

The VP role is an execution-focused position within investment banking, reporting to senior bankers in New York. You will lead day-to-day execution, supervise Analysts, and coordinate across multiple live M&A and strategic advisory transactions across power, utilities and energy infrastructure.

Strong modeling, presentation skills, and commercial judgment are essential. Experience at VP1/VP2 level is preferred; relocation benefits and H-1B sponsorship may be available on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications

• Strong M&A transaction execution experience.
• Excellent financial modeling and valuation capabilities.
• The ability to run multiple transaction workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong client communication and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail and sound commercial judgment.
• A track record of operating successfully in demanding investment banking environments.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day execution of complex transactions.
• Leading financial analysis, valuation and transaction modelling.
• Managing Associates and Analysts across live engagements.
• Reviewing transaction materials and providing senior-level technical oversight.
• Coordinating diligence, documentation and workstreams across transaction processes.
• Working directly with senior executives, sponsors, corporates and other transaction counterparties.
• Developing strategic and transaction recommendations alongside senior coverage bankers.
• Preparing and delivering high-impact client presentations.
• Maintaining close communication with senior bankers as transactions progress.
• Training and developing junior members of the team.
• Contributing sector and market expertise across power, utilities and energy infrastructure.
