Job summary

Horace Mann seeks an Exclusive Agent to own and operate a defined territory with agency autonomy and a 1099 compensation structure. You will leverage Horace Mann’s multiline portfolio and cutting-edge technology to serve educators and build a sustainable client base.

Key responsibilities include presenting insurance products to groups and individuals, networking within the community, and maintaining strong client relationships with the support of a dedicated service representative.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and business development abilities.
• Ability to build and manage an agency with a defined territory.
• Experience in insurance/financial services preferred (2–5 years).
• Licenses required or obtainable as listed (state lines, life/health, P&C, FINRA if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Establish and own an exclusive agency with a defined territory.
• Present insurance and financial products to groups and individuals.
• Build relationships and networks through events and community involvement.
