Job summary

BASIS Scottsdale is seeking an Exceptional Student Services Instructional Assistant to support Special Education, 504, and EL Programs. The role involves paraprofessional support for individual students and assisting with IEP/504 plan implementation at the school site.

Prospective candidates will help communicate with parents and staff, maintain confidential student records, and collaborate with the ESS Coordinator to support teachers and students throughout the instructional day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or state background check.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Plan implementation with special educational needs in general education settings.
• Provide paraprofessional or one-on-one support to individual students as needed.
• Assist with IEPs and 504 plan implementation alongside the ESS Coordinator.
• Collaborate with ESS Coordinator and teaching staff.
• Support student records and maintain confidentiality and accuracy of files.
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks for the ESS team.
• Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance.
• Supervise students individually or in groups.
• Reinforce and reteach concepts introduced by special education teachers.
• Provide instructional interventions and academic support to students or small groups.
• Other duties as assigned.
